Prue & mark's Gorgeous Backyard Wedding

On Easter Saturday, with skies full of beautiful clouds and a perfectly temperate breeze Prue and Mark married in absolutely stunning DIY fashion in their lovely backyard. If you follow Pinterest for inspiration, then the setup for this DIY backyard wedding may well be your dream! With gorgeous festoon lighting, homemade arbours, signing stations and drink bars and absolutely gorgeous styling with the perfect amount of natural flower arrangements.

Prue & Mark’s wedding ceremony was simply beautiful, the air was buzzing with love. The love these guys have for each other and their families is something special, every single soul at this wedding was gold.

We had always planned to sneak away just before sunset to capture their wedding portraits. One of the very best features of Prue and Mark’s house is their sunset views, and so we wanted to sneak away to the Hallett Cove reserve to take full advantage of the sunset views over the ocean. With such cloudy skies we were a little worried that maybe nothing spectacular would happen with sunset. But I’m so glad that the sky didn’t fail to put on a beautiful show with gorgeously bright orange light waving across the ocean as the sun dipped down and said goodnight.

When we got back, and with all of the formalities out of the way, things got saxy as Graham Lawrence played some sweet tunes and everyone danced the night away under the dark blue night sky and festive festoon lighting. Congratulations again guys, you’re beautiful! xx
