Adelaide Wedding Photographer
Make some art.
Eat your canapés.
No performance required. Just artful photographs, old-friend energy and plenty of room to enjoy your actual wedding.
The photography should fit the experience.
There’s no single right way to spend your wedding day. Maybe you want ten beautiful minutes together in the last of the light, then every other possible minute dancing with your people. Maybe you want an epic adventure to that one amazing spot, followed by dinner for two.
You don’t need to perform or know what to do. I’ll give gentle direction when it helps, notice the people and moments you might otherwise miss, and leave plenty of room for the day to unfold.
Portraits can be a breather and a chance to reconnect. Not a reason to miss your own canapés. We’ll make some killer portraits, then get you back to your people.
The result? Photographs that look like you, feel like your day and bring you back to it. I care about beautiful light and artful photographs. But just as much about the people in them, the place around them, and everyone having a genuinely good time.
Based in South Australia, I photograph weddings across Adelaide, McLaren Vale, the Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Clare Valley, Rural SA & beyond!
Prices start at $3,000
“Sarah oh my goodness!!! These are truly the most beautiful photos, we are SO incredibly grateful!!! Thank you for photographing our special day and capturing every moment, including the little ones that we wouldn’t have even thought about! We will treasure these forever.”

You’ll still look bloody good.
I won’t let you slouch or make T-Rex arms. I’ll tweak what needs tweaking, then give you room to connect.
Your people are part of the story.
I read the room, join in and make people feel safe enough to be themselves. That’s how I notice the photographs you didn’t know were happening.
The day stays yours.
Ten minutes at sunset or a full adventure somewhere wild. We’ll shape the photography around the experience you want.
Guests often ask how I know the couple. Usually, I don’t.
I just get genuinely invested, fit in fast and bring the kind of old-friend energy that makes people forget I arrived with a camera. After 15 years photographing weddings, I know when to bring calm, when to offer a little direction and when to join the joy, all while watching the light and noticing the moments you couldn’t see happening.

My wedding photography is artful, relaxed and people-focused. I am a moth for beautiful light, but the people and feeling come first.
I photograph the belly laughs, hand squeezes, happy tears, ridiculous guest moments and everything happening when nobody thinks they are being photographed. We’ll also make some killer portraits, with gentle direction whenever it helps.
The photographs should look like you, feel like your wedding and bring you back to it.

Completely normal. Most of my couples tell me some version of this, then finish their portraits saying, “That was actually fun!”
You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or what to do with your hands. I’ll invite connection with simple prompts and tweak the little things when needed. I won’t let you slouch or make T-Rex arms, but my direction is about connection, not choreography.
-
Absolutely. I’m not anti group photo. I’m anti letting them take over your wedding.
Before the day, we’ll make a short list of the combinations that genuinely matter to you and choose a couple of helpful people who know who is who. On the day, I’ll guide everyone through them efficiently, then get you back to the hugs, drinks and conversations.

For most full weddings, eight hours gives the day plenty of breathing room. It can cover getting ready, the ceremony, congratulations, family photographs, portraits, speeches and the first wild bit of the dance floor.
Five hours can work beautifully for a smaller celebration or the part of the day that matters most. Ten hours suits couples who want the quiet beginning and the loud ending. From coffee to tequila.
I’ll help you choose around your actual plans. I’m not going to push you into more coverage than you need.
-
Yes. I’ll help shape the photography timeline around the wedding you actually want.
We’ll look at your ceremony time, travel, family photographs, light and the parts of the celebration you refuse to miss. Portraits can be split across the day instead of becoming one giant disappearing act. Fifteen beautiful minutes at sunset can be enough for killer portraits if you would rather eat your canapés.
The photography should fit the experience.

Completely. Little Car Photography welcomes LGBTQIA+ couples and weddings of all genders across Adelaide and South Australia.
I won’t assume who walks first, who takes whose name, what you wear or which traditions belong in your day. Tell me what matters to you and we’ll photograph that.
You are welcome here exactly as you are.

“We can’t say enough about how wonderful Sarah was and how much she made our day perfect. She is so relaxed and warm, putting everyone at ease. There was nothing stuffy or formal about our event and she captured that perfectly. So many of our guests commented on how comfortable she made them feel. Thank you for making our big gay wedding so spectacular Sarah!!”

Enna and Freddy’s wedding at Sinclair’s Gully in Norton Summit was sweet, joyful and gloriously colourful. Set beneath the gums in the Adelaide Hills, their ceremony was framed by the most incredible florals in vivid pink, coral, peach and orange. They looked spectacular against the soft green bushland—and somehow made the whole woodland setting feel even more alive. From Freddy’s emotional reaction as Enna arrived to their triumphant just-married celebration, there was so much genuine happiness to photograph.
