I gotta say, I do love me a shotgun wedding! Not only is your little one right there with you all day getting to soak up all that love and all those promises. But you get to take beautiful wedding portraits that double for maternity portraits. Win win? Today was one of those rare days where the weather forecast gave a 100% chance of rain. No leeway incase they were wrong, just a one hundred percent chance you will get rained upon today. But it didn’t matter! We made it through before lockdown. These two gorgeous ladies married with their mums as witnesses (so sweet!). And the rain managed to sprinkle only at the most opportune of moments, allowing us to frolick through town. So blessed to be able to share this day with you. A romantic day that was very much longed for.

Brent & Lucy’s wedding was full of all those warm and gorgeous colours that flourish in Autumn. With their wedding taking place on the very last Saturday in Autumn, their colour scheme blended so well with the last of the golden leaves. And definitely warmed up the beautiful night, alongside that mulled wine, hot chocolate and fire of course! Though many of us turned into dragons (please tell me we’ve all played that steam blowing game when it gets cold), the first word that comes to my mind when I describe the day is warmth.

Adelaide’s Monarto Zoo is a really cool place on so many levels. There’s unique ways to view their array of animals, there’s a ruined homestead perfect for photos, great views over sweeping plains and just a relaxed and fun vibe. Maddy & Michael married with a herd of onlooking giraffes (how many people can say that!?) Including adorable Kinky who stood close and personal the entire ceremony and posed for the signing portraits.

With restrictions easing considerably since their elopement nearly 1 year ago, Grace and Sam could enjoy the wedding celebration they were waiting for! A big reception celebration and party with their friends and family. Complete with canapés, speeches and dancing. Woohoo! 💃 It was so fun spending that time with them, and meeting the beautiful daughter that had been with them in Grace’s tummy on their wedding day one year before. These two are such beautiful people, who deserved this special break from their chaotic lives to celebrate a love strong enough to bare the harsh world of a new business during Covid-19.

Autumn is a beautiful time of year, the days are getting shorter and colder as the trees and vines warm up in earthy orange tones. Britt and Darren were excited to finally be getting married, but also to get the formal things done so they could relax and celebrate! The day was super relaxed and fun, just doing the day their own way and enjoying the little things.

What can we say? But wow! This was such a special elopement and completely beautiful day. Ashley and Salesi are two down to earth, relaxed, fun loving and beautiful souls. Despite a lost (and then found) wedding ring, temporarily replaced by a seaweed wreath, they had nothing but smiles. The picnic that Laura set up was a bohemian dream overlooking a peacful sea. The cake was delicious! And the sunset to top it all off? After an overcast day with a little gap that the sun peeked through on it’s final journey down to the ocean was just spectacular. A dream day. Thank you for having us!

This was such a lovely wedding to be a part of and capture. Beautiful, relaxed vibes all day and night long - no rain or chilly weather could dampen any spirit. We all just rugged up in crochet blankies and extra jackets instead. Their day was a long time coming. Filled with love, gratefulness and appreciation for being there together and to be surrounded by those that love them. With a sincere ceremony and a big, fun party - dancing in the rain Such a wonderful day.

There’s something romantic about running away to the registry office. No fuss or fancy - just love! After capturing Archana and Ben’s registry office wedding we went for a short stroll through the city, taking advantage of both the street art and the tiny pockets of nature. Just a small group of family and friends enjoying the afternoon together as more distant family watched on through the magic of video calls.

Brittany and Matt’s wedding day was all about having fun and letting go any of the previous stresses of planning their big day. Finally walking down the aisle and dancing the night away with their loved ones. The entire day was fun and light hearted with many beautiful photos opportunities from confetti to a glowing orange sunset. Thanks so much for having me! xo

Beth & Tom’s rustic elopement at Brin Farm in Kangarilla was short, sweet and intimate. And also full of fun and laughter! They approached their marriage in the most beautiful way; relaxed, smiling and happy. Laughing when the beautiful floating arbour joined in with fabric hugs in the wind. A perfect little afternoon in such a stunning location, dressing up, memories, photos, and at the end of their heartfelt ceremony being married!
