I’m Sarah, the Adelaide wedding and portrait photographer behind Little Car Photography. I get genuinely invested, fast.

I’ll read the room, bring calm when you need it, join in when the energy lifts and keep one eye on the light and the little moments you didn’t see.

I’ve spent 15 years photographing people, and I still love hearing two things: “That is so us” and “This was so fun.”

I’ll know when to step in, when to give you breathing room and when the most useful thing I can offer is a calm face nearby.

No cookie-cutter posing. I’ll guide you towards each other, tidy the occasional wonky hand and make sure the photograph still feels unmistakably like you.

I am a moth. It’s the light for me.

The last warm patch on a wall. A face lit beautifully in an ordinary room. The way light catches smoke, sequins, dust or champagne spray.

I studied fine art, filmmaking and photography, and I’ve spent 15 years turning light, people and fleeting little moments into photographs that feel like something. Art matters to me. So does the experience of making it.

I won’t force a moment to fit the photograph. I’ll give gentle direction when it helps, fix the slouch and rescue the T-Rex arms, then leave enough room for you to be unmistakably yourselves.

Places make me feel something.

A dingy local pub can hold as much heart as an Italian chateau. It is also equally capable of horrid yellow lights and dark corners.

I don’t need a conventionally pretty backdrop to find a photograph. I’m looking for light, colour, texture, lines and the little details that belong to your people and your place. Story decides what stays.

I care about the actual places, too. At home, my family and I are helping regenerate the scrub around our little house. We’re trying to leave our patch better than we found it.
