Saturday was a very special & unique day for Ben & Lisa. After putting their wedding on hold 6 years ago to start their absolutely gorgeous little family, they decided to do things a little differently on their special day. Lisa knew what day she was getting married, but had no idea where! Not only that, but the guests were also kept in the dark until the very last minute. Being told the ceremony location only days before, with a secret bus arranged to take them to the surprise reception venue.

It was one of the coldest days in a long time, and the heavens were open raining down an outpour of luck on the beautiful couple Britt and Cameron. Their second wedding at the most gorgeous Church Rose Park United Parish, after first tying the knot in America. It was a very lucky day, with the sun frequently coming out to put on a beautiful show. Their family was just so gorgeous and welcoming, and the kids were full of bubbly energy running and playing all day long. It really was a beautiful and happy day. Enjoy this sneak peek guys! xx

Photographers need one very important thing to create a photograph, light. Without light we have nothing. When the sun disappears for the day it takes away my favourite thing, it's gorgeous glowing light. Leaving behind it a world of contrast; of highlights and shadows. Last night I ventured out for a few brief minutes to explore this world with my camera and my bestie. Here are the results. xx

What do you do when an unforeseen delay causes you to run out of light 40 minutes earlier than expected? You lap up all that gorgeous setting sun light, grab your big boy flash and chase cars and their headlights!

What's one of the best things about Winter? Hot, smokey log fires and warm gatherings of company around them. Simon & Linda's winter wedding at Sinclair Gully's Winery in Norton Summit was full of all of the very best stuff. The weather was kind and we enjoyed beautiful sunshine all day long. From the scrummy looking tapas & Paella from Juan's Paella to the ample wine, good vibes and laughter ringing out across the gully, this wedding was just perfect. Congrats Simon & Linda, hope you guys have an awesome honeymoon!

Yesterday morning just as the sun was poking it's head up for the day, I met Lisa & Matt at the always gorgeous Semaphore Beach for a little stroll and engagement session. The high school sweethearts got engaged here only a few months earlier in February, and it was great to visit such a special spot for them with gorgeously soft Winter morning light. You guys! I had soooo much trouble not just uploading this entire wedding! Perfect low sun light + the beach + grungy Port Adelaide + a gorgeous couple + their amazing family = an absolutely stunning and intimate beach wedding. Amy, I can't believe you made that amazing bouquet! You were just full of such beautiful ideas and inspiration for your beautiful, little wedding. As I'm sure my friends & family will attest, I get so wrapped up in finishing my "work photos" that I can take twice as long (or longer...) to get personal & family photos done. But, after slowly whittling away at these, I'm so happy to have had time this long weekend to finish my boyfriends' sisters thirtieth birthday party! How perfectly timed was it that her birthday (almost) fell on the Diner en Blanc in Melbourne, a very cool (& kind of hip) big, posh picnic.

I don't know anyone who doesn't love Dr Seuss, be they child or adult, young or just young at heart. Such whimsy and wisdom all rolled into one awesome ball, so a Dr Seuss birthday party couldn't be anything but awesome! 'Thing Mum' Jacquie did an amazing job putting everything so generously together. We started the party with a cake smash, but April being too much of a lady thought the beautiful cake was just too good to mush. So she daintily played with balloons and ate her little fondant letters instead. Such a cutie!

Meet Señor Fluffy, the ancient Birman, in human years he would be well over 100! Like any ancient creature, he is stubborn, strong willed, a little bit grumpy, but has a heart of gold. So, on a cold and sleepy Sunday I decided to take some precious memories of my adopted kitty Señor, who won't be with us for very much longer.
