Lauren and Brent married in this field, and so it was very special for them to be able to come back and take family portraits here with their two little girls. Exploring the forest looking for wild flowers in the conservation park, and cuddling underneath the wedding tree in the paddock while horses looked on.

I loved this portrait session to celebrate Georgia and Levi’s engagement. The sun was warm and lovely, and the location was perfect with gum trees, reeds, tall rock walls and beautiful grasses. And what could be better than finishing up with puppy cuddles?

The early newborn phase is so fleeting (and if we’re honest, a little chaotic as everything changes in the most beautiful of ways!) There is so much joy and excitement to capture, and a whole new little person to meet and document. What a marvellous stage in life!

I adore it when I get to continue documenting a couple’s journey, from their wedding to their pregnancy and their first child. It’s just so special! Sarah and Stew are such lovely and welcoming people, and their baby girl is just too precious. We captured both their newborn and maternity portraits at their home on a little farm. Melissa and Daniel went on an adventure to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary, with their awesome little dachshund Peggy. As part of their celebrations they had Em capture some natural and relaxed portraits at one of my favourite beaches, Maslin Beach. A lovely walk through an old quarry that leads to the dog friendly part of the beach and some gorgeous scenes. A special place to hang out and enjoy the company of loved ones without the hustle and bustle of the more popular local beaches. Enjoy the rest of your adventures guys!! x

Every time we take family portraits involving everyone, (adult kids included), I’m reminded how special and important family is. We often document our early days as a family, when the children are little and we’re just finding out feet. But celebrating a history of memories as we grow into adults ourselves is so special as well. (Each time we do a session like this, I just want to grab my own family and do the same!) I love capturing family portraits! It means I get to see beautiful families grow and personalities blossom. It’s especially lovely when we get to hang out on a beautifully sunny day in a very natural space full of trees and things to explore. Tamsyn, Mitchell and I spent one late Spring arvo together hanging out in the Barossa Valley to capture their engagement portraits. The sun was shining and giving us plenty of light to get creative with. The Barossa Valley is gorgeous with it’s rolling hills, golden fields, creek beds and trees. Ainsely received this portrait sesesioni as a beautiful gift from her Aunt, a nice way to create a time capsule of her early twenties. I love sessions like this! It’s a great time to remember and celebrate, whilst having the added bonus of boosting self confidence. I like to think of them as self-love-sessions.
