Jen and Dans' Maximillian Wedding in the Adelaide Hills

Jen and Dan’s wedding was beautifully classic but oh so much fun! With their gorgeous fur friend Roxy the flower dog (who ran down the aisle to Roxanne), the beautiful grounds of Maximillians (with vineyards, golf, and views of rolling Adelaide Hills), and a party that knew what to do when Eagle Rock came on. (Plus who could forget all those delicious shots of tequila!) It wasn’t just the amazing company and beautiful look of the wedding that made this day special. It was the loving company, the family and friends that Jen and Dan surrounded themselves with. Along with their beautiful, down to earth and genuinely kind souls.

Jess & Jaiden's Himeji Garden Engagement Portraits

With their wedding coming up early this year, we thought it would be a great time to capture some engagement portraits for Jess and Jaiden at the gorgeous Adelaide Himeji Gardens at the end of last year. The Himeji Gardens really is a hidden gem of Adelaide, if you don’t know it’s there you could just walk straight past it. With a gorgeous little rock garden and calming pool. A lovely place for natural portraits.

I don’t normally write personal/inspirational posts on this blog. (But maybe that should change?) Taking photographs for a living is an interesting thing to do, especially in the wedding industry which can often be vain and have a focus on the details rather than the meaning. Most of my clients and I are on the same page though. Marriage and weddings are beautiful, because of the true meaning behind the celebration; the love and the promise. When I take photographs, I want to capture the meaning, the emotion, the love, the personality, the natural and the real moments shared between people who love each other.

Nikki & Mike's West Beach and Port Adelaide Wedding

The Summer skies so far have been breathtakingly beautiful as stormy overcast days meet the warmth of a building summer. Nikki and Mike’s wedding day was blessed with one of these beautiful skies, the rain managing to hold back and ensure a perfect day. A day that was fun, casual, beachy and relaxed. Dani & Simon's Mount Osmond Golf Club Wedding

Dani and Simon are two completely genuine people who are so much fun to be around. Their wedding reflected them well, being super fun and relaxing without loosing any of it’s beautiful formalities. From amazing speeches (replicating old dance moves), a lovely Church ceremony, classy horse and cart (and a convertible car of course), amazing vocal performance from tenor Tasso Bouyessis and soprano Annamaria Beni, sax and bongos accompanying the DJs dance floor tunes, and the gorgeous views and setting of Mount Osmond Gold Club. What more could you want?

I’ve been looking forward to Hannah & Simon’s wedding since their beautiful engagement session at Kuitpo Forest, (which just happened to be shared on Polka Dot Bride just one week after their wedding!)
