Kris and Lily had a gorgeous engagemen portrait session at the Michael Perry Botanic Reserve, and at home with their amazing cats. Each with their own unique personality and level of curiosity. I absolutely loved Lily’s little cat ears, pretty dress and pokemon earrings. Which perfectly suited the precious surprise engagement ring Kris pulled from his pocket beneath the large palm tree. You were both a joy to hang out with and photograph! Thanks so much Kris & Lily! :)

Simmone & Jimmy were originally planning to elope in Italy, but Covid, as it has done for so many others, encouraged a change in plans. Instead they had a very low key and relaxed Spring elopement to celebrate their love and make it all official at the Adelaide Veale Gardens. We all could not believe the good luck we had with the weather. With a forecast just about guaranteeing heavy rain we surprised to have bright blue skies and barely a cloud in sight. It was such a lovley celebration.

Spring is a fickle mistress. She promises warmth, new life, the smell of flowers and the welcoming of Summer. But she is also tempermental, opening the heavens for heavy falls and swinging from warm to cold at a moments notice. This year in particular Spring has felt very… well, Spring like. Jess and Anthony’s wedding day had promises of sunshine either side, but the day itself was full of heavy raindrops. Having us push the start time back by one hour so we could all stay dry inside Molldooker’s beautiful walls. There is nothing to fear on a rainy day though. The sound and the smell of it is gorgoeus, and with a little bravery against wet feet we can create some stunning photos, so it almost looks like you’re dancing in the stars. The biggest of congratulations to you Jess & Anthony. Your wedding was beautiful, and we were thrilled to share these special moments with you. xo

Alex & Ryan had one hell of an awesome wedding a few years back, and now they’ve had a gorgeous little baby girl. I had a beautiful time catching up with them at the Oaklands Park Reserve and Wetland recently and meeting their little one. Capturing some precious family memories in a beautiful natural setting full of families making the most of the sunshine and their time together. Congrats on your little one guys! She’s gorgeous. xo

Tess & Nick had a short and sweet holiday in our beautiful state last month, and took the opportunity to marry with an intimate, casual and stress free ceremony. Just the two of them, dressed up beautifully in the natural surrounds of a cosy bed and breakfast in the Adelaide Hills near Hahndorf. With beautiful blooms surrounding us during the ceremony, and plenty of places to stroll for portraits.

Jess and Charles had an intimate and very casual Winter elopement at Burbrook Forest. Casual in the best kind of way of course! No form or fancy, just love and family (and delicious craft beers and wine). It was a record breaking snap freeze of a day, beneath the tall forest trees gently rocking in the breeze. And it was awesome.

From hard times comes the opportunity to more truly appreciate the good times, and the little moments not normally celebrated. Like special and beautiful evenings spent with friends, creating, laughing, and exploring our natural world. Documenting our day to day, unposed and real.

After capturing Bethany & Fabian’s wedding a few years ago, it was so nice to be able to capture some family photos of them and their new abslutely adorable son Ezra. How cute is this little guy? We captured some warm and cosy photos inside with Bethany’s mum and dad before heading to a nearby park to stand in sun beams and make silly faces (all in the pursuit of smiles of course). Auchendaroch house is a beautiful historic property in the Adelaide Hills, and a unique venue to tie the knot. With antique wallpaper and furniture in an oppulant building with manicured gardens right in the heart of Mount Barker. Hannah & Taylor married there with just their closest family, with an intimate wedding ceremony and relaxed celebrations. And of course, many beautiful photos around the grounds inbetween hugs and champagne.
