Emma & Tom's Adelaide Zoo Wedding
The sun was shining on Emma & Tom’s beautiful wedding day at the Adelaide Zoo. Complete with giraffe feeding and bubble guns in lieu of confetti! It was a light hearted and special day, and good fun to walk around all the animal enclosures whilst taking portraits. After that we headed South of the city for a relaxed reception at Rydges with sunset views from the top floor. Thanks again for having me guys, it was a great day!! x
Becc & Anton's Mount Lofty House Wedding
Becc and Anton’s wedding at Mount Lofty House was not only beautiful, but also a lot of fun! Light hearted from start to finish, and full of love. The love they have for each other, and that their family and friends have for them. Mount Lofty House is a gorgeous venue and they always look after their guests so well. This made the day even more relaxed. Along with those views of rolling hills and beautiful surrounds, with perfectly styled florals to compliment - the day was stunning!
Ebony & Aiden's Port Germein Farm Wedding
Head north in South Australia and it won’t take too long to reach a unique beauty all its own. Red dusty earth stretching out to low lying ranges, large old gum trees lining dry creek beds and crystal clear blue ocean waters right up to Port Augusta and then continuing East. It’s a place I love to travel any time I need to feel grounded. So it was an absolute no brainer for me when Ebony & Aiden asked me to capture their wedding day at the family farm in Port Germein.
Grace & Jared's Ekhidna Wines Wedding Celebration
Sometimes fate works in our favour, like the beautiful adventure it was for Grace & Jared managing to elope in New Zealand amongst imminent lockdowns and bubble closures. Making it home in time to celebrate with their Aussie loved ones in a big wedding celebration at Ekhidna Wines. We started the afternoon with bridal party portraits at a gorgeous little B&B. I loved the cardboard cutout stand-in for Grace’s lovely NZ bridesmaid. (Highly recommend for anyone who’s close loved ones are currently stuck on the wrong end of a border closure).
Adventures on the Road-Side in the Sunshine
Some days the inspiration just hits, and you’d be silly not to take advantage of it. I LOVE finding beauty in unique and unexpected places. From random stops along the road to hidden alley ways, especially at golden hour. When the character of light grows deep and warm.
The Fitzner's Natural Family Portraits at Belair National Park
Winter is slowly trying to make way for Spring, and the day of Erin, Luke, cute-as-a-button Hazel and loyal dog Remi’s portrait session was a perfect example of that. With the recent rain the ground was damp, the sky was soft and water ran freely through little creeks. All while the sun and small flowers gently tried to poke their heads out. It made the atmosphere calm and lovely, and absolutely perfect for cuddles! Remi was adorable, constantly on the lookout for roos to protect the family from. And little Hazel was just so content, only ready to bring the giggles for the most silly of play - or her fluffy little caterpillar. (So cute!!) I also could not resist capturing her funny little face at the end of the session, scroll to the end to check it out. I would also pull a similar face if encouraged to laugh for an hour straight. Haha!
Natural Family Portraits at Linear Park
It was such a delight to meet Sharon, Tom & gorgeous little Jamie with his huge smile. We spent some time at Linear Park walking the trail, checking out the gum trees and chasing tame pigeons whilst pointing out the shyer ducks. Enjoying beautifully natural family portraits. Before heading home for a few photos with their adorable dogs Indi & Gracie. Precious family portraits to share with family overseas and cherish forever. Thanks for having me! x
Ellen & Stella's Gorgeous Gay Registry Office Wedding Adelaide
I gotta say, I do love me a shotgun wedding! Not only is your little one right there with you all day getting to soak up all that love and all those promises. But you get to take beautiful wedding portraits that double for maternity portraits. Win win? Today was one of those rare days where the weather forecast gave a 100% chance of rain. No leeway incase they were wrong, just a one hundred percent chance you will get rained upon today. But it didn’t matter! We made it through before lockdown. These two gorgeous ladies married with their mums as witnesses (so sweet!). And the rain managed to sprinkle only at the most opportune of moments, allowing us to frolick through town. So blessed to be able to share this day with you. A romantic day that was very much longed for.
Brent & Lucy's Woodhouse Manor Wedding
Brent & Lucy’s wedding was full of all those warm and gorgeous colours that flourish in Autumn. With their wedding taking place on the very last Saturday in Autumn, their colour scheme blended so well with the last of the golden leaves. And definitely warmed up the beautiful night, alongside that mulled wine, hot chocolate and fire of course! Though many of us turned into dragons (please tell me we’ve all played that steam blowing game when it gets cold), the first word that comes to my mind when I describe the day is warmth.
Maddy & Michael's Monarto Zoo Wedding
Adelaide’s Monarto Zoo is a really cool place on so many levels. There’s unique ways to view their array of animals, there’s a ruined homestead perfect for photos, great views over sweeping plains and just a relaxed and fun vibe. Maddy & Michael married with a herd of onlooking giraffes (how many people can say that!?) Including adorable Kinky who stood close and personal the entire ceremony and posed for the signing portraits.
