Jas & Harry's Winter McLaren Vale Wedding
Winter can be absolutely beautiful, as proof by Jas & Harry's gorgeous McLaren Vale Winter wedding. With the shorter days, the sun never gets so high in the sky that it casts an overly harsh glare. And with wispy clouds leading into an overcast evening, the light became softer as the day progressed. Jas & Harry did their wedding their way, wanting to keep it as relaxed as possible and following only the traditions that meant something to them.
Megan & Andrew's Adelaide Botanic Park Elopement
Megan & Andrew's elopement on Friday was a beautiful and special day. We were a little worried about the weather, keeping a back up plan ready to go just in case. But in the end, the weather was incredibly beautiful. The big Morton Bay Fig trees held special meaning for Megan & Andrew, and also provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding. I love how their huge branches and roots enveloped the ceremony in a sweeping embrace. It did rain, but it was also sunny. This is a magical combination. Guests and family cuddled together under umbrellas as a light shower sprinkled down during the reception, the droplets glowing in the sun.
Nicolette & Daniel's Veale Garden Elopement
Think a wedding can't be planned in 3 weeks? Think again! :) After many years together, Nicolette and Daniel decided it was time to tie the knot, and they didn't want to wait to do it. With life happening all around them, Nicolette completing her Phd, and a move to Singapore imminent, they made time to commit to a life spent together, and a cherished little elopement in the Adelaide Veale Gardens.
Christie & James' Adelaide Winter Wedding
I've been looking forward to this wedding for a while! Ever since their engagement session in fact, where I got to know just how down to earth, authentic and caring Christie & James are. Spending time with these two is the easiest thing in the world to do. Hanging out, chatting, chilling, jamming and exploring. So I knew that their wedding day would be an absolute blast!
Ben & Charlotte's Geeky Wedding at Henley Surf Life Saving Club
What a wedding this was! And an amazing way for me to bring my busy season "to a close". Dramatic stormy skies, bright pops of colour, geeky touches, impressive dancing, and two just completely lovely, wonderful people. As soon as I met Ben & Charlotte I knew I wanted to capture their wedding day memories. It was beyond evident at our first meeting that they are not only lovely people, but truly and authentically themselves in the most uplifting way.
Khiem & Hayley's Engagement Portraits at Kuitpo Forest
I had so much fun exploring Kuitpo forest with Khiem & Hayley last Friday for their engagement portraits! Kuitpo forest is one of my favourite places to visit, I mean how lucky are we to have forests to explore in our own backyard? Beautiful rows of trees, some un-manicured, some perfectly lined up. Tall whips of grass and at the right time of day, sun beams that stream through the gaps in the trees.
Camilla & Brodie's Sunset Beach Engagement Portraits at Gull Rock
When we checked the weather the day before, and saw a forecast for wind and rain, Camilla and I still had a feeling that this engagement session would be beautiful. And boy was it beautiful! With storm clouds looming on the horizon, a slight sprinkle of rain and strong gusty sea breezes we decided to brave the beautiful beach near Gull Rock.
Mona & Ryan's Mt Lofty Garden & Electra House Autumn Wedding
Mona & Ryan are two beautiful people that you could easily spend the day with just relaxing, chatting and having a good time. So spending their wedding day with them was both beautifully relaxed and fun! Their stunning and warm Autumn backdrop of the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens was an ideal setting for a wedding ceremony that was full of laughter and happiness. Will you take this woman? Hell Yeah! (It’s always such a pleasure working with Penelope Carrick, who’s ceremonies are always fun and warm.)
Dom & Matt's Autumn Wedding at Glen Ewin Estate
This wedding day flew by in the blink of an eye, which is no surprise to me as it felt like spending the day with friends! As soon as I saw Matt, he couldn't hold back his excitement. Getting ready with his four groomsmen at his mums house we laughed, played cricket, cleaned chairs and reminisced about his days growing up in the home. Visiting Dom I was greeted by the most beautiful gown, dress, girls and family. Dom's Uncle Joe did an AMAZING job on the hair, and as soon as the dress was on everything came together, Dom looked prefect.
Charlotte & Edward's Belair National Park Elopement
This was a special elopement for sister business Our Wild Love Elopements. It reflected everything we want our elopements to be; relaxed, intimate and all about the love. Charlotte and Edward couldn't wait to be married, and so with just over one month, and with the help of friends and family they put together the most perfect little elopement. The arbour, table settings, flowers and Heidelberg cake all looked both beautiful and delicious!
