What Family Photos Should You Capture at Your Wedding?
I love capturing family photos as part of your special day! So many family members have traveled to be with you, put on their best outfits, and are just excited to celebrate with you. Your wedding family photos will be printed, shared, loved and cherished by you and future family members for so many years. That said… Family photos can end up being one of the more stressful parts of your day. This blog gives some tips on what to expect and how to plan your family photos. x
Tips for scheduling your wedding
Planning a wedding can be a very daunting thing, and often people have no idea where to start with planning let alone scheduling their day. Every single wedding is unique and every single wedding day will run slightly differently. That is more than ok! Your day is yours, and it can be anything you want it to be. How Many Hours Should You Hire a Wedding Photographer For?
Every single wedding is different, some are big and some are small. How many hours you should hire a wedding photographer for all comes down to what you want captured, locations, travel times and how long your wedding runs.
How to feel comfortable and natural in your wedding photos
One of the biggest worries I hear from couples before their wedding is:
"We're awkward in front of the camera."
The good news? Almost every couple tells me exactly the same thing.
You don't need to know how to pose, and you definitely don't need to spend your wedding day pretending to be someone you're not. My approach is all about helping you forget the camera is there. Instead of stiff poses, we'll wander, chat, laugh together, and I'll gently guide you with little prompts that feel much more like spending time with a friend than having a photoshoot.
The role of the photographer on your wedding day
When you think of a wedding photographer, the image most people get is - just a photographer who photographs weddings right? But through my experience photographing weddings, I have found that a wedding photographer needs to be much more than that! And is invaluable on your wedding day, not only to capture every little detail beautifully but also to offer their experience from all the other weddings they've worked on to help your day run smoothly.
