We have had a very sunny Winter this year! And I really felt like Jake & Jess' wedding day was a great summary of this years winter weather. From overcast skies to brilliant bursts of warm sunshine. Home-baked pies instead of cake, an amazing bride who did so many of the personal touches (including all the pies and florals!) herself, and an adoring and fun loving groom. Jake & Jess' was just a little bit amazing, and the best way to get another busy wedding season rolling.
Read MoreMegan, Jonathan, their gorgeous greyhound Barnsey and I nearly didn’t go ahead with our engagement session plans on Sunday. With a 95% chance of rain, and maybe a thunderstorm, there was a little hesitation as to whether we should brave the elements and potential muddy puddles. But I’m so so glad we did! Despite the ridiculously high chance of rain, I don’t think a single drop touched our heads. Instead, we were blessed with diffused, warm sunshine that glistened off the dewy leaves and pine tree bristles of Kuitpo Forest.

Read MoreThis was one of those beautiful little elopements where everything felt as though it came together perfectly. And proof that despite the weather, your day can still be every beautiful thing it needs to be. Liz and Dean eloped at the gorgeous Bonney Berg Bed and Breakfast in the Adelaide Hills at Cromer, near Birdwood. Their beautiful host Bron made sure everything ran perfectly, witnessing their wedding, providing delicious meals and such a beautifully welcoming environment with access to their stunning property and grounds. She also let us borrow her floral arrangements to create a lovely, loose and rustic bouquet. I still cannot believe that the flower is a cabbage! How very cool.
Read MoreWinter can be absolutely beautiful, as proof by Jas & Harry's gorgeous McLaren Vale Winter wedding. With the shorter days, the sun never gets so high in the sky that it casts an overly harsh glare. And with wispy clouds leading into an overcast evening, the light became softer as the day progressed. Jas & Harry did their wedding their way, wanting to keep it as relaxed as possible and following only the traditions that meant something to them.
Read MoreMegan & Andrew's elopement on Friday was a beautiful and special day. We were a little worried about the weather, keeping a back up plan ready to go just in case. But in the end, the weather was incredibly beautiful. The big Morton Bay Fig trees held special meaning for Megan & Andrew, and also provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding. I love how their huge branches and roots enveloped the ceremony in a sweeping embrace. It did rain, but it was also sunny. This is a magical combination. Guests and family cuddled together under umbrellas as a light shower sprinkled down during the reception, the droplets glowing in the sun.

With life happening all around them, Nicolette completing her Phd, and a move to Singapore imminent, they made time to commit to a life spent together, and a cherished little elopement in the Adelaide Veale Gardens.
Read MoreI've been looking forward to this wedding for a while! Ever since their engagement session in fact, where I got to know just how down to earth, authentic and caring Christie & James are. Spending time with these two is the easiest thing in the world to do. Hanging out, chatting, chilling, jamming and exploring. So I knew that their wedding day would be an absolute blast!
Read MoreWhat a wedding this was! And an amazing way for me to bring my busy season "to a close". Dramatic stormy skies, bright pops of colour, geeky touches, impressive dancing, and two just completely lovely, wonderful people. As soon as I met Ben & Charlotte I knew I wanted to capture their wedding day memories. It was beyond evident at our first meeting that they are not only lovely people, but truly and authentically themselves in the most uplifting way.
Read MoreI had so much fun exploring Kuitpo forest with Khiem & Hayley last Friday for their engagement portraits! Kuitpo forest is one of my favourite places to visit, I mean how lucky are we to have forests to explore in our own backyard? Beautiful rows of trees, some un-manicured, some perfectly lined up. Tall whips of grass and at the right time of day, sun beams that stream through the gaps in the trees.
