Beth & Brett's Intimate Aussie Wedding in the Barossa
As can happen in an Australian summer, Beth & Brett’s original wedding date was forecast for well into the 40s. So hot that the flies were out in force like clouds. And so, as you are able to with an intimate wedding, they decided to postpone their day by just one day and enjoy much more temperate weather. Marrying at the Barossa Bush Chapel with kookaburras watching on, followed up with delicious icecream. Their day was beautifully relaxed and intimate. After some moments celebrating with family and friends, we drove on to Whistler Wines to hang out with kangaroos, drink some wine (of course), and play a game of cricket. What better way to end your wedding day?
Carly & Barnesy's Relaxed Wedding at Barn1890
Oh goodness. What a day! And what a wonderful job Carly & Barnesy did pulling this wedding together, not once but twice! All within 24 hours! Their wedding was scheduled to take place the weekend of Adelaide’s short lived lockdown. As soon as we found that the lockdown would be cut short, Carly was onto it! Getting their entire wedding day moved from Saturday to Sunday. Which made the dancing, seeing each other at the alter, and celebrating with family and friends all the more special. And it was perfectly beautiful, relaxed, fun and full of love and joy.
Claire, Liam, Finn & Peter's Natural Family Portraits at Onkaparinga National Park
I was so excited when Claire and her beautiful family said they were keen to meet me at the Onkaparinga National Park for portraits. A place where ekhindas waddle about, Koala’s hang out in trees and roos nibble on grasses. (AKA: one of my favourite places). And also a wonderful place for a young family to go for an adventure and an explore! We had a wonderful time pointing out bugs, ekhidna hunting (no luck this time), and capturing spcial family portraits Thanks so much for having me guys! xo
Zac & Rach's Relaxed Wedding at Utopia @ Waterfall Gully
We were all SO excited when dance floors opened back up for weddings in SA, especially Zac and Rach who couldn’t wait to let loose and dance their wedding night away with friends and family! The entire day was relaxed, everyone so happy for Zach and Rach marrying each other, their best friend. Nothing stuffy or overly fancy, just a really good time with good people, and the stuff that matters the most. Love, family and friends. (And pizza and dancing. Haha!)
Sam & Ollie's Natural Multicultural Elopement
Sam and Ollie had an absolutely stunning elopement in every way! A beautiful blend of traditions, a jaw-dropping red bridal gown and a timeless white wedding gown. Gorgeous ocean views, strolls down dirt crossroads beaneath rolling hills and beside sprawling vineyards. And that cracker sunset to finish it all on the beach. Not to mention the absolutely delicious cake on the clifftops. A perfect, relaxed, intimate and secluded way to tie the knot.
Emma & Callan's Rustic Renmark Wedding
Emma & Callan had a relaxed celebration with their closest friends and family, great food and wine and Dancing! Two spectacular locations for portraits made me one very happy photographer (how amazing is that B&B by the river!?) And best of all, Emma and Callan got to exchange their vows and become husband and wife.
Tams & Hazz's Fleurieu Cherries Wedding in McLaren Vale
I LOVE how Tams & Hazz described their wedding; tight-knit, relaxed, romantic and a little bit silly. It was all those things and more! A warm and relaxed celebration at Fleurieu Cherries with their delicious homemade cherry ice-cream, their dog Monkey a cheeky centre of attention and time to chat with friends and family over drinks and canapes. Followed by an escape to the sea where a random dance party welcomed Tams and Hazz in with open arms and sparklers. What a way to end the day!
Renee & Vicki's Beautiful Gay McLaren Vale Elopement
I loved everything about Renee and Vicki’s beautiful wedding day. Not just the gorgeous bright, gay (happy!!) colours. Or the fun and smiles. But man… the love that glowed when these two just looked at each other. One of those beautiful, peaceful, and radiantly happy loves that warms up a room. At a super cute little shearing shed AirBnB in McLaren Vale (a place I have loved for a very long time), with sheep, alpacka and BABY ALPACKA grazing just outside. A lovingly put together platter to share, bubbles, cake, a little bit of dancing, and just generally all the very best things.
Laura & Ryan's Gull Rock Elopement
Kate and I LOVE how Laura and Ryan described their elopement to us; “extremely intimate and low key with a dash of fun!” A super special and relaxed afternoon shared with their parents, grandma and sister (with Ryan’s brother sadly having to watch from afar in Melbourne). We were all stunned but entirely delighted when instead of the 90%+ promise of raing predicted we had beautiful sunshine! Having Laura and Ryan married just in front of the Port Willunga caves (just in case the rain decided to surprise us out of nowhere and we needed to duck for cover!) We took advantage of the gorgeous clifftops and nearby vineyards nestle under rolling hills and wind swept gum trees as well.
Caitlin & Karl's Natural Maternity Portraits at Gull Rock
We were all slightly worried about the rain this day, but just as we hoped, the rain eased and the sun started shining beautifully through the clouds. Despite being slightly windy, it was a gorgeous afternoon! Full of cuddles and beautiful dreams of what the next few weeks, months and years would bring. All the lovely dreams and wishes for the little one soon to join them. A beautiful little pause just to enjoy the moment, and the anticipation of moments to come. Congratulations guys!! :)
